No series-produced electric car has cards longer than the Ford Mustang Mach-E. At least not on a single charge.
Ford has set the world record for distance in an electric car. So on a single charge. A British team has managed to cover 916.74 kilometers on the same charge.
It took them just over 24 hours to cover that distance. On the other hand, it is almost 7 kilometers longer than the previous record, which stood at 907.6 kilometers.
That's what Autocar writes.
The distance compared to the time corresponds to the car maintaining an average speed of just over 38 km/h.

Along the way, the electric Ford had a consumption of 10,054 kilometers per kilowatt hour. Far better than the car's official consumption. The record is then also recognized by Guinness World Records, who noted that the Ford continued for 33 kilometers when the battery said 0 percent power remained.
The version of the Mustang Mach-E used in the record attempt was a Mach-E Premium Extended Range, whose powertrain has one electric motor and a 91 kWh battery. According to the WLTP standard, it should be able to cover at least 600 kilometers on a single charge.
The record attempt was carried out on public roads of different types and in several different areas of England. The drivers Kevin Booker and Sam Clark, who shared the 24-hour trip between them, have already set several distance records.
However, they do not reach Mercedes' distance of 1,202 kilometers on a single charge. A trip from Stuttgart in Germany to Silverstone in England. However, Mercedes' record – unlike Ford's – has not been officially verified by anyone. In addition, the trip took place in the EQXX concept car.
For one thing, Ford has now proven they can go further than any other electric car by cruising very slowly. Another thing is that the car brand loses an awful lot of money building electric cars. Read more about it here .
