He is known to the general public as a comedian, but Mr. Bean aka Rowan Atkinson is actually a huge car enthusiast. Now his Peugeot 205 GTI is for sale.
This Alpine-white Peugeot 205 GTI has just under 114,000 kilometers. But Mr. Bean aka Rowan Atkinson has just short of 482 of them.
Not 4,820, not 48,200. No – only 482 kilometers. But his name has been on the registration certificate. The question then is what people will pay for this kind of thing. And if they even want to.
Nothing has really been done to the car . It is 'just' kept really well. This means that the 1.6-litre petrol engine produces 115 horsepower, goes from 0-100 km/h in 9.8 seconds and has a top speed of 195 km/h. At least officially.
It doesn't exactly sound impressive today, but in 1989 it was still something of a devil on the road. Blue. because the car weighs just 850 kilos.

No minimum price has been set for the car. But according to Top Gear, the best examples typically go for somewhere between £20,000 and £30,000.
This corresponds to DKK 265,000 when the waves are high. Of course for right-hand drive models, where the market is not the world's largest.
Boosted received severe criticism for conveying Rowan Atkinson's attitude towards electric cars. It happened in the Danish media TjekDet, which did not care that Boosted conveyed the position. Read more about it here .
