Battle for electric car customers: Get a free car wash when you charge your electric car

New campaign from Uno-X and Plugsurfing will reward electric car drivers in Denmark with a free car wash after charging 75 kWh.

Charge your car and get it washed for free. That's the message in a new campaign from Uno-X and Plugsurfing, which has just started throughout Denmark.

The campaign runs until April 30th and is valid at Uno-X charging stations nationwide.

Electric car owners who charge at least 75 kWh during the month of April will receive a free car wash worth 119 kroner. The wash must be picked up at one of Uno-X's 25 new car washes, all of which are Nordic Ecolabelled and use recycled water and environmentally friendly soap, they say in a press release.

The scheme requires you to use Plugsurfing's app or one of their other charging solutions based on the same platform. Once you have charged enough, you will receive a voucher for the car wash.

There is a battle for Danish electric vehicles

The collaboration between charging and car care is unusual in an industry where charging and car washing usually belong to different worlds. According to Plugsurfing , the aim is to give electric drivers more value for money and connect daily use of the car with tangible benefits.

Plugsurfing does not have its own charging stations, but collaborates with many networks. The goal is to provide users with one unified platform with overview, payment and customer service in one place. In Denmark, several thousand users are already active.

The free car wash is available to everyone who uses Plugsurfing's system. This also means that you can participate via your car's navigation or charging pad if it is connected to Plugsurfing. So you don't necessarily have to download a new app to join.

According to Plugsurfing, the campaign will be displayed in their app, where you can track your consumption and access the car wash. You will be notified when you have reached the 75 kWh.

The campaign is driven by the desire to support the development of the electric car market and make everyday life a little easier for those who have already chosen electricity over petrol and diesel. According to the company, it is about making electric vehicles more attractive in a time of rising costs and large losses in value .

The campaign runs from April 2nd to April 30th. Both charging and car washing must be done within the period. The wash can be redeemed at one of the 25 Uno-X car washes that are part of the scheme.

Those interested can find more information in the Plugsurfing app or on the Uno-X website.
