We can finally get out into the world and experience cars up close, and we celebrated with a weekend trip to the Motorshow in Herning.
MCH Messecenter Herning and Jyske Bank Boxen formed the setting for the first motor show of the year, and the Boosted editorial team was naturally on hand after far too many corona cancellations in both 2020 and 2021. – After a difficult time with great uncertainty and a necessary cancellation in 2021, it has been fantastic to be able to give motor enthusiasts, young and old, a good experience again. The atmosphere has been absolutely fantastic, and we are both proud and happy about a successful weekend in both the exhibition halls and in Jyske Bank Boxen, says Lars Green, owner of Motorshow and Yamaha SuperCross & Freestyle Show. In MCH Messecenter Herning, there were both cars and especially motorcycles to look at when the fair opened at 12 noon on Friday. – The exhibition has been well attended, and our members have had a really good fair and experienced positive bustle. There was great joy and satisfaction to be seen, and the visitors have been both serious and very eager to buy. Right now, the challenge in our industry is that demand is greater than supply. All in all, we and our members are very satisfied with the fair, which we would definitely like to exhibit at again, says Erik Blacha, chairman of the Motorcycle Importer Association. 4,000 cubic meters of clay soil were poured into the Jyske Bank Boxen, which on Friday and Saturday evening formed the backdrop for races and stunts for the Yamaha SuperCross & Freestyle Show. As is tradition, the pace was high and the courage great, as Europe's best cross riders competed for the title of 'King of Herning', while the skilled freestyle riders put an end to it with hair-raising stunts. – Both the show and the sport have been at the highest level, and the euphoria among the spectators has been clearly noticeable. The audience is pouring in with positive comments, which helped create an absolutely fantastic atmosphere in the Jyske Bank Boxen on both Friday and Saturday, says organizer Lars Green. The French pre-favourite Cedric Soubeyras was honoured with the prestigious title of 'King of Herning' on Saturday evening, closely followed by Calvin Fonvieille and Charles Lefrancois. A spectacular end to the evening was set high up under the roof of the Jyske Bank Boxen, where the audience could see the brave freestyle choreographers perform wild tricks. Now we are really looking forward to August, when the Auto Show gets underway! See the gallery from the weekend below:
