Recalling 460,000 flammable cars – park outside

Kia has to once again launch a recall of the big ones. This time there is a risk of 460,000 cars burning up.

It doesn't always work out for Kia, and now the South Korean brand has to recall the big ones.

While at home there are problems with cars with failing hand brakes, which have actually been fixed several times, several of the brand's American customers can be behind the wheel in fire traps.

This is written by Car and Driver .

The failure that can occur in an electric motor that controls the car's seats can cause the structure to overheat. The American importer confirms this to the media.

Kia in the US won't tell owners to leave their cars. Even so, the many owners of the Telluride model are advised to park outside and 'at a distance from other cars'.

The error means that 462,869 cars need a trip to the workshop. So far, the US authorities have heard from seven Kia owners complaining about the defect.

In one case, a fire broke out under a seat, while in the other six cases wires melted. Fortunately, there are no reports of injuries or accidents due to the error.

The Kia owners who have cars that may be affected by the error will be notified in the course of next month about how they should proceed. But this is far from the first time Kia has had to recall cars.

Boosted has previously talked about how it is more than easy to steal several of the brand's models. The so-called Kia Challenge meant last year that the group, which also includes Hyundai, got a gigantic stall last year. Read more about that case here .
