Famous Nissan Skyline found at the last minute

The car that Lewis Hamilton tore around Japanese roads in 2022 subsequently disappeared. Now it has been found again. And at the last minute.

The Nissan Skyline that Lewis Hamilton had smoking heavily when Formula 1 came to Japan in 2022 mysteriously disappeared not long after.

Earlier this year, the car was reported stolen. And there was immediately no trace of it. Well, not because the car was found in a ship container in Yokohama.

This is written by The Drive .

The car is probably stolen with export for oje. In fact, even though the car was seen in Japan after the theft. However, i.a. attempted camouflaged by other license plates.

However, the rental company, which owns the car, and was quite furious with Lewis Hamilton after his ride in the car, says that some parts are still missing.

It is unknown exactly what is missing from the car. But Omoshiro, as the company is called, says the car 'will not be hitting the roads for a while'.

Stolen cars are unfortunately the order of the day in many countries. Not only in Japan. In the American city of Oakland, located in the state of California, car theft is a huge problem.

In fact, the problem is so big that it is flooding the city streets with cars. Abandoned cars that is. The authorities estimate that up to 14,000 cars have just been dumped on the streets.

A good number of them have been reported stolen. But it is not always that the rightful owners get help from the police. Not even if the cars reappear. Read more about it here .
