That's not all you have to write and carry around on a license plate. The English authorities have updated the list with 250 illegal number plates.
In most European countries, you can buy a personal number plate – also called a wish plate. But not all requests get through.
Now the English authorities have updated the country's list of prohibited number plate combinations.

The number plates are, like the rules here at home, made prohibited if they are considered to be standing. If you still succeed in equipping your car with a banned number plate, it can mean a fine of 1,000 British pounds, equivalent to 9,000 Danish kroner, and a summons to inspect.
It is the private company Regtransfers, which makes a living by passing on the sale of so-called 'private plates' in England, that has released the list after an inspection of documents by the authorities.
It is, among other things, made forbidden to write AS25 HOL and PU25 SYY. The same is the OR25 GSM. Strangely enough, it is not forbidden to write the similar ORG 45M on a set of license plates.
Other number plates have been hit with a ban because they can be considered sexist, racist or homophobic.
Conversely, license plates such as UKR and RUS have also been branded as standing because they are direct references to Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
– Desire license plates are an excellent form of self-expression, but they should not be used to display truly harmful messages or views.
– In addition to the usual sex and violence references, there are the subtle combinations that do not seem to make a clear sense at first glance (which is prohibited, ed.), says director at Regtransfers Mark Trimbee.
