A car enthusiast must experience this during the autumn holidays

Classic Car House in Lyngby welcomes both children and adults during the autumn holidays, where car enthusiasts can explore a world of classic cars and historic workshops.

The autumn holidays are an obvious time for families to come up with activities that can bring children and adults together. For car enthusiasts and those who just want to experience something different, the Classic Car House in Lyngby is an obvious excursion destination in week 42.

Here you can explore over 300 classic cars, each of which has its own story. The museum invites both children and adults inside for an experience-rich holiday with activities and a fascinating insight into the history of the car.

Classic Car House opened in 2023 and has since offered experiences that combine car culture with historical elements.

– It is always great fun when the children stop by the Classic Car House.

– Classic cars are something that very few children have any knowledge of, and it is fascinating to see how the museum can arouse their interest, says Dorthe Arvin, Head of Communication at Classic Car House in a press release .

For the younger guests, Classic Car House has arranged a number of activities designed to entertain and engage the children. A treasure hunt challenges the little ones to find stuffed animals hidden in their favorite cars. When the hunt is complete, a prize awaits.

In the so-called krea room, the children can build their own LEGO cars, draw imaginative autumn cars or relax with a funny movie. This allows everyone to find something to occupy themselves with during the visit.

Every day there is also the opportunity to hear exciting car stories and funny fun facts. At At 11.00, 12.00 and 13.00, stories are told about selected cars and their background.

For those interested in seeing the engines in action, there is an engine start at 13.00 on weekdays, when some of the most remarkable classic cars are started up.

The museum also offers a more historical dimension. Visitors can step into a car workshop from 1936 and experience how work was done almost 90 years ago. It's like taking a step back in time and seeing how car repairs were done back then.

In addition, there is a fun and educational installation, "The Incredible Journey of the Car", which stretches over 50 meters. Here you get an insight into the development of the car, from the earliest steam engines to the cars we drive today.

If you want a more guided experience, Classic Car House also offers guided tours. Here you get the opportunity to delve deeper into the history of the individual cars and hear anecdotes that are not mentioned elsewhere. The tour costs DKK 70, and it is recommended to book it in advance to secure a place.
