The police strike again against motorists in Skagen in week 29

Last year, 47 Danes and foreigners were checked by the authorities, who again yesterday struck against all choirs in Skagen in week 29.

It is a goldmine for the authorities to attack the motorists and other road users who are on wheels in Skagen during week 29. The so-called Hellerupuge.

That is why the authorities – the Motor Authority and North Jutland's Police – are repeating what they call 'an inspection visit to the city' this year.

This is stated by the Danish Motor Agency in a press release .

– It is our experience that there is still good reason to be present in Skagen in week 29. Just like last year, this year we will check to see if the correct tax is being paid for leasing coaches.

– And whether the rules for private traffic in company cars and cars with yellow plates are respected," says Claus Holm, deputy director of the Motor Authority.

The Motor Authority therefore also encourages motorists to familiarize themselves with the rules in general if they drive to Skagen during the much-discussed week. Because although the cars may not be torn apart, the authorities go through everything to find even the smallest loopholes. For example, with cheating on the registration fee.

– We always encourage you to familiarize yourself with the rules – also during the summer holidays. If the rules are violated, you risk having to pay large amounts in tax collections and fines," concludes Claus Holm
