Has been standing still for 5 years – no one wants to own rare Nissan

The car has only covered 362 kilometers since it rolled off the assembly line in 2002. Yet no one has wanted to buy this Nissan Skyline for the past 5 years.

A brand new Nissan Skyline R34 GT-R has been without a new owner for more than five years. The specific model, a rare V Spec II Nür, is otherwise a sought-after collector's item.

The Nissan Skyline R34 GT-R, the last and fastest in the line of Skyline GT-R models, enjoys great respect and fetches high prices on the used market, especially after the car became legal to import in the United States.

This Nissan Skyline R34 GT-R, a Nür model, is particularly noteworthy. Only 718 examples of the Nür model were produced. This specific car has covered no more than 362 kilometers since new in 2002.

The Nür model is named after the German race track Nürburgring. It is equipped with a specially tuned RB26DETT engine. The straight-six was developed with parts from the motorsport-spec N1 GT-R.

The engine is officially rated at just 280 horsepower due to an old gentlemen's agreement among Japanese car brands. The same applies in Germany, where cars are generally limited to 250 km/h.

However, it is common knowledge that the actual performance is and was much higher. And that the RB engine is very easy to extract additional horsepower from.

The green "Millennium Jade" paintwork appears new. The interior also shows no signs of wear. The seller states that the car still smells like a new car.

The car is offered by the specialist dealer JDM Expo. But it must cost 'a little' that the car is still factory new. A Nür model usually costs at least 1,350,000 kr. This specific car is on sale for 3,275,000 kr. Something that might keep most buyers away.

Nissan Skylines of the GT-R generations are already out of reach for most people. It is primarily collectors with large budgets who have the opportunity to acquire the best of the last examples.

If the new owner wants to use the car for driving, it is worth noting that it is from 2002. This means that in several countries it is not legal at all. In the USA, for example, it can only be imported in the normal way in 2027.

The matte green Nissan Skyline R34 GT-R is a unique opportunity for collectors. The car's low mileage and good condition make it particularly attractive. However, the high price has deterred a buyer for five years now.

However, that doesn't change the fact that the Skyline model generally holds a special place in the hearts of many car enthusiasts. The R34 model is considered by many to be the best Nissan ever made. The car's cult status is well supported by games and films such as the first in the Fast and Furious series.

It's uncertain when this Nissan Skyline R34 GT-R will find a new owner. And if it will happen at all. Boosted is keeping an eye on the matter.
