The police tore the Mercedes apart – no room for a choir card

The registration card could barely be wedged between the front fender and the tire when the police recently got hold of a Mercedes E-Class, which the owner claimed to have just bought.

A Mercedes E-Class owner recently had to find another way to get home when an otherwise completed police check meant his car was torn apart.

This is written by Norwegian TV2 .

The car inspector, who was also involved in the police inspection, assessed that the car was far too low and otherwise had several technical faults, which led to an immediate traffic ban. Among other things, the police complained about an open air filter.

– We had finished the traffic control in Lillestrom municipality at 2.30 p.m., when on our way north along the E6 we received a call from the police that they had stopped a Mercedes heading north.

– The police wanted technical assistance to take the car apart. The message showed that the car was so low that it almost sank into the road, writes the Norwegian Road Administration in its report on the inspection.

The Norwegian Road Administration further writes that the car was actually technically approved with a lowering kit. But someone had clearly succumbed to the temptation to go even further than that.

– I tested with the corre card between the tire and the edge of the front fender by partially turning the wheel and the corre card in between.

– There was almost no room for the choir card. Fortunately, we rarely experience that cars have been lowered so much after previous lowerings have been approved, the inspector writes in his report.

The Mercedes owner then also accepted the traffic ban. Something he can only have revoked once the car has been manufactured and approved in connection with an extraordinary inspection.

Here at home it is also crazy with certain drivers who cannot keep within the limits of the law. Some of them think they should disturb the traffic by playing police officers. For example, in a root Dacia. Read more about it here .
