Rock star threatens to sell his supercars in protest

The 79-year-old rock star Rod Stewart is now so tired of potholes that he is considering selling all his supercars in pure protest.

Rod Stewart is now considering selling his precious supercars in protest against the bad roads in England.

The 79-year-old rock star has long been frustrated by especially the many potholes on the roads in Harlow, where he lives. And his criticism has repeatedly been directed at the municipality's lack of effort.

Two years ago, Stewart caused a stir when, in tracksuits and a safety vest, he set about filling potholes in the roads himself with some friends.

– This is how it looks on the roads here in the municipality, and it has been like this for ages. That's why I and the boys had to take matters into our own hands to fill them up, said the star at the time.

Located in Essex County, approximately four miles north of central London, Harlow is a place where Stewart enjoys a combination of tranquility and short distance to the city.

Here he can both listen to birdsong and take his Lamborghini for a ride into town. But the many potholes in the roads make it difficult to use the exclusive cars, which has made him consider drastic steps.

– Because of the potholes on our roads, I may have to find new homes for my beloved cars.

– I am really happy for them. They have meant a lot to me. It is also thanks to all my fans that I can sing in them. But now I might have to sell them, says Stewart.

After increasing pressure from both Stewart and his fans, the municipality has now announced that they are allocating around half a billion Danish kroner to improve the road network in the area.

The rock star, who remains active and is currently on tour, clearly has no plans to retire. While performing on stages around the world, he still keeps an eye on local road conditions and uses his platform to push politicians into action.
