Rare Porsche disguised as a VW bus is looking for a new owner

Volkswagen never built a wild and violent bus. But Porsche did. B32 only exists in seven copies. Now one of them is looking for a new home.

When Porsche began the project, the car had 55, so they unleashed it with 231 horsepower and a 0 to 100 km/h time of 8 seconds.

Long before we got the Cayenne and Macan, there was actually room for the whole family in a completely different 'Porsche'.

Namely the 1980s B32. Created in parallel with the development work on a four-wheel drive 911. Keep in mind, that kind – i.e. four-wheel drive – can be found throughout almost the entire Porsche model range today.

But it was something special. Originally reserved for Porsche racing cars. And then just B32. A converted Volkswagen T3. An extremely rare creation. In fact, it is said that only seven cars were built, as Porsche shelved the plans again.

The car is neither developed nor intended for street use. On the other hand, the people at Porsche needed something that could follow the Dakar racer 953. So they put a 3.2-liter boxer from a 911 Carrera in the back of the T3.

For the same reason, the car 'sprints' from 0 to 100 km/h in just over 8 seconds, because it reaches a top speed of 185 km/h. Although it is claimed in several places that the car went 217 km/h.

In comparison, you would have to have both a good day and a hurricane behind you to reach 100 km/h in a regular T3. Do we think we…

The bottom line is that this T3 B32 is looking for a new home. It is from July 1988, has just 130,770 kilometers and is in a cream white metallic paint. If it tempts, the Dutch Porsche Center Gelderland will have 365,000 euros for the glory. This corresponds to 2.7 million Danish kroner.
