New figures: Ferrari is the world's fastest growing company

There is no company in the whole world that is growing faster than Ferrari, according to a new report by American Interbrand.

That's right for Ferrari. Not only is the Maranello brand the car brand that earns the absolute most per car worldwide. The Italian company is also growing the fastest of all.

This is the conclusion of a new settlement, which American Interbrand is behind.

Every year, the Americans publish a ranking of the 100 biggest brands worldwide. This year is the 25th time that such a list has been published.

And although Ferrari is far from being the biggest car brand globally in terms of sheer size, there is no other brand, in the automotive or any other industry, that is growing as fast. In just one year, Ferrari's earnings have grown by 21 percent.

In comparison, the list's number two, Microsoft, 'only' grew by 11 percent. All the while the list's number 1 – also American Apple – has actually gone back on the earnings front.

The decrease is 3 percent. Still, Apple's top executives can note a market value of a staggering 488.9 billion dollars.

We have to go down to number 62 on the list to find Ferrari. But it's still an improvement on last year's 70th place.

That being said, Toyota is number 6 above the biggest global brands. Mercedes is number 8, BMW number 10, and Tesla is just off the top of the list in 12th place.

Ferrari founder Enzo Ferrari was known to be notoriously indifferent to his own street cars. They did, however, allow him to finance the entire Formula 1 program. Something Ferrari has not won since 2008.

Right now, however, the team is closer than they have been in a very long time with third place in the overall constructor standings. By the way, Enzo was the man who said the following: aerodynamics is for people who can't build engines.
