New figures from Bilbasen show that the decline in electric cars is not happening so quickly anymore. At least the price drop has slowed down.
Tesla dropped a bombshell on the Danish car market when the brand began slashing the price of new cars drastically in 2023. But now used electric cars aren't bleeding nearly as much.
This is shown by the latest figures from Bilbasen.
This is what market analyst Jan Lang tells Motormagasinet.
– This is the smallest drop in prices for used electric cars in five months, says the analyst.
According to Jan Lang, 2025 has so far been marked by minor price drops for used electric cars. But used diesel and gasoline cars will also not escape price reductions.
According to the analyst, only electric cars are in the top three when you look at how 'fast' the cars are sold. An MG EHS is on the platform for 23 days. While its sister car, the MG ZS, is sold after 27 days. Exactly the same amount of time it takes to sell a used BYD Atto 3.
The Skoda Enyaq is a car that Danes love. Especially used. In fact, none of the users on the platform have searched so many times for the same car model.
A total of 264,564 searches were made for a Skoda Enyaq during the month of January. The fact that electric cars are no longer plummeting in value at the same pace does not mean that owners can hold on to their money.
The depreciation is still going strong. Boosted reported this week that drivers who bought a new Tesla three years ago should expect to pay DKK 4,600 every month.
Conversely, a petrol car like the Toyota Corolla actually loses nothing. Or at worst, only very little. Read more about it here .
