Kevin Magnussen admits: "A crap situation with crap on it"

Kevin Magnussen did not receive any more penalty points in Monaco. But his Formula 1 season was still a notch worse than it already is.

Kevin Magnussen risks being the first Formula 1 driver ever to miss a Formula 1 lob due to too many penalty points.

The Dane is not there yet. Still, his clash with Red Bull's Sergio Perez and team-mate Nico Hülkenberg did not improve the situation in the Haas garage.

Although Formula 1 regards the accident as something none of the three teams can be blamed for, Kevin Magnussen knows very well that it is crazy.

He told several media – including RacingNews365 – in a press conference immediately after the race in the principality's streets.

– It is never good to have both cars in one accident. It stinks. It's a crap situation with crap on it.

– It's probably the most frustrating start to a season I've ever had. It seems like a constant uphill battle. Nothing clicks.

– But hopefully we can turn the tide. We have a strong package (in terms of the development of the car, ed.), so hopefully we can use it, says Magnussen.

The next chance, but where K-Mag still has a lot of penalty points to take into account, is in Canada. The race is held at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal. It will happen on Sunday 9 June at 20.00 Danish time. This corresponds to 14.00 local time.
