RAM builds the last model with the V8 engine before the turn of the year. 2025 thus marks the year from HEMI-V8s to straight sixes.
First Dodge then RAM. Another car brand no longer has room for the legendary HEMI-V8 engine.
Specifically, RAM is saying goodbye to the large 5.7-liter V8 engine before the turn of the year. And it won't come again.

The new in-line six tries to fulfill the legacy of the big V8 engine by being somewhat more potent. The so-called Hurricane engine has up to 550 horsepower to offer.
But because it's not exactly Hellcat muscle, the new RAM versions after 2025 have to settle for less on the hook. The current RAM 1500 must tow a whopping 5,800 kilos. From next year, there will be no power for more than 5,200 kilos.
However, engines are not the only thing that will disappear when we are on the verge of 2025. Quite a few car models will not continue from 2024. Read more about this here .
