80 activists from a group calling themselves 'Stop Tesla' have occupied a forest near Tesla's factory in Germany.
Around 80 activists from the so-called 'Stop Tesla' group have this week occupied a piece of forest near Tesla's German factory in the town of Grünheide.
Here, the activists are protesting Tesla's desire to expand the factory, which was inaugurated in March 2022.

According to the German news agency dpa, the activists have erected a number of wooden houses in the forest as a protest against a planned clearing of the area.

The activists also say that they support the local population in Grünheide, because here too they are against the planned expansion of the factory.
Under the slogan 'forest instead of monster factory', the activists have attached a wooden platform that you can walk on between the treetops.
The activists now believe that it is up to both the municipal and state level to put such pressure on Tesla that the American brand drops its expansion plans in the country.
The occupiers have also announced that they intend to stay in the area indefinitely. According to several German media, the police have stopped by to talk to the activists, and from the law enforcement side it sounds like everything is going peacefully.
– Our biggest concern concerns the drinking water in the area, says activist Caro Weber to dpa.
According to her, activists from 'all over Germany' are encouraged to participate in the occupation of the forest and the protest against Tesla.
