Has Haas regretted it? Comes with new Kevin Magnussen message

Haas is bowing down after Kevin Magnussen's magnificent performance during the Mexican grand prix at the weekend. Everything was perfect, says the team manager.

Kevin Magnussen delivered a remarkable performance in Sunday's Formula 1 grand prix in Mexico, where he secured his best result of the season.

The Haas rider crossed the finish line in seventh place, just seconds behind world champion Max Verstappen.

Ayao Komatsu, team manager for Haas, was clearly impressed by Magnussen's carousel.

– I don't know what to say. It's another fantastic result for this team. I'm so happy that everyone's hard work is paying off with the updates and that the car is getting better," says Ayao Komatsu in a press release .

Komatsu particularly highlights Magnussen's pace in the second period of the race, where the Dane managed to keep pace with Verstappen.

– His (Kevin Magnussen's, ed.) pace in the second period was incredible, he caught Verstappen in his Red Bull racer and finished just four seconds behind. It was probably the best I've seen Kevin sing, I'm so happy for him, says the team manager.

Nico Hülkenberg, Magnussen's German teammate, also praises the Dane's efforts. Hülkenberg himself finished in ninth place.

– I am also very happy for Kevin. He had a fantastic weekend, he really deserved it, says the German.

With seventh place, Magnussen secured six valuable points for the WC standings.

– It was a perfect day. Seventh place is better than we dared to hope for, because Piastri came through the field strongly, and I just managed to keep him behind me, says Kevin Magnussen.

Despite the strong performance in Mexico, Magnussen's future remains uncertain. Earlier this year, he and the team announced they were parting ways after this season. However, the Dane has recently raised the bar for a potential comeback in the sport. Read more about it here.

There are now four rounds left in the Formula 1 season. The next lob is in Brazil on Sunday 3 November. Prior to that lob, Kevin Magnussen has 14 points in the overall WC standings. Teammate Hulkenberg has collected 31 points.
