Economist: People in fossil fuel cars are dumber than others

People in fossil fuel cars are dumber than others. At least according to Swedish economist Claes Hemberg. – Electric car owners are smarter and are not afraid of logical things, he says.

The analysis firm Demoskop conducted a survey among 1,000 randomly selected people and asked them about electricity prices. And economist Claes Hemberg believes that leaves one thing out.

He tells Carup that.

The economist believes that people in electric cars are smarter than others. The economist believes this is related to the fact that people in electric cars are just as worried as people in fossil cars. Electric car owners are, on the other hand, just for logical reasons.

– It turns out that electric car owners are significantly better at understanding how electricity prices work. They are concerned for logical reasons, while ordinary people worry about electricity prices because they don't understand what it's all about.

That's why Claes Hemberg also believes that the heroes of the future will be those who drive electric cars. They have understood how electricity prices are related, says the economist.

That's why, according to him, people will also ask electric car owners what they should do with electricity and prices in the future.

However, it's not necessarily about people in electric cars wanting to drive electric cars to save the climate. Instead, it's about money. That is, avoiding the hours when electricity is absolutely most expensive.

Ovenikobet believes that people in electric cars have the prospect of even cheaper electricity because wind power will lower prices further.
