A man wanted to protest against Elon Musk, but he couldn't see the difference and instead went for a Polestar 2.
A man in Bristol, England, attempted to protest Tesla and Elon Musk by smashing what he mistakenly thought was a Tesla.
Instead, he ended up smashing a Polestar, reports the Daily Mail .
However, the newspaper mistakenly calls the car a Volvo.
The man, believed to be in his 40s, had brought a homemade sign with him to protest Tesla. On the sign, which also misspelled Elon Musk's name, the man expressed his dissatisfaction with the CEO for going crazy over the wrong car.
Instead of directing their anger at a Tesla, the protest went against a Polestar.
A video of the incident that has been spread on social media clearly shows the man smashing what is definitely not a Tesla.
In the footage, the man is seen hitting a Polestar with a pole. The sign he was carrying contained criticism directed at Tesla and other Elon Musk-owned companies.
Confusion arose among the spectators when it became clear that the man had chosen the wrong target for his protest.
According to the newspaper, the man was charged with vandalism, attempted arson and possession of weapons when the police showed up.
A witness later explained that they initially thought the sound of the man's rampage was actually fireworks.
On the homemade sign, the angry man had also written that Elon Musk should pay for the damages.
In addition, the man demanded that Tesla change its name and logo. His action also received attention. Even from the media, but quite impractically, it happened for completely the wrong reasons and the man's own stupidity.
