Brand new electric car cannot be repaired – dead after 40 kilometers

Back in 2021, Xiaomi said it wanted to build electric cars. Now they are here. But despite the abundant order books, the situation is bad for SU7.

Perhaps the world's most criticized car designer has been involved in the project. And the new Xiaomi SU7 is already being called a Porsche Taycan at a discount price.

But those conditions are not necessarily a stamp of quality in themselves. On the contrary, it is already pouring in with complaints about the car, which Xiaomi claims to have 100,000 orders lying around.

Because the cars that have already been sent out on the roads are literally doing terribly in traffic. Several videos have appeared of copies of the SU7 failing.

This is what CarNews China writes.

Several owners claim that their cars have already broken down. Among other things due to brake failure. In fact, the proportion of reported accidents has only increased recently.

According to Car News China, there are also examples of cars that have broken down the day after delivery. The car had only managed to cover a scant 40 kilometres.

The car was subsequently towed to the dealer. But from here the message is that you are unable to repair the car. It must be done at the factory.

According to the Chinese media, the owners now want their money back for the car, as they cannot get a new one. All the cars Xiaomi has in the order books and/or on the assembly line have already been bought and paid for by someone else.

The technology giant, which now also builds electric cars, has also admitted that the SU7 is not error-free. For example, Xiaomi acknowledges that the automatic corner brake switches off at 135 km/h. And that the security equipment is turned off until an update can solve the problem.
