Peter's Volvo is the world's first with a 10-cylinder central engine

Never before has anyone done as Swedish Peter Björck and built a Volvo 240 with 10 cylinders in the middle of the car.

You may know him as the man behind Volvoghini. An ancient 245 estate car with 10 cylinders from Lamborghini. And now Peter Björck has done it again.

This time in another Volvo. But also from the 1970s. His white 240 is from 1976 and was originally built with four dores.

Only two of them remain today. The engine is located where there are usually rear seats in a 240. A small funny detail is that the wheelbase is almost the same as the Audi R8, which also ran around with the V10 engine between 2009 and until this year, when the production stopped.

Peter Björck's conversion has been going on for well over half a year, and now the car can move under its own power.

To begin with, however, the Swedish carmaker is not completely satisfied. The V10 engine doesn't have quite the right sound. However, this will be corrected in the course of the video, which can be seen below.

– Now it works as it should, although there are still some small adjustments that need to be made, says Peter Björck.

The Swede admits, however, that the gearbox still causes him problems. But beyond that, the car is, as he says, largely finished.

Peter's second Volvo with a V10 engine caught the attention of the Boosted editorial staff earlier this year when we went to the Custom Motor Show in the Elima halls. Read more about it here .
