Legendary Fast and Furious car was smashed after the movie

You have to think back 23 years. But if you can picture Letty's 240SX from the first Fast and Furious movie to you, you're not the only one. Unfortunately, the car is no longer available.

A number of cars are not at all what they pretend to be on the big screen. Here at Boosted, we have uncovered this several times.

Among other things when it came to Paul Walker alias Brian 'O Conner's bayside-blue Nissan Skyline. It was pretty much something completely, completely different in disguise. Read more about it here.

And now Craig Liebermann, who was the mastermind behind most of the cars in the first Fast and Furious films, has revealed a little more of the behind-the-scenes from 'back then'.

It turns out that Michelle Rodriguez's character Letty's Nissan 240SX did not survive the filming days.

In fact, Liebermann says now, the car was stripped of its interior and other parts after the filming and crushed. Yes, broken.

Actually, there were three cars that did it in front of the 240SX. But the car, from which you can see it all, did not survive.

Or that is, it actually did. Because the car was one the film crew rented. According to Liebermann, it had a good 400 horsepower.

And it was actually delivered whole back to its owner back in 2000 after filming. After this, it was repainted in a sun colour, became a star in a number of car magazines and briefly on the roads until 2009, when it changed hands again.

The last owner chose to peel everything out of the car and sell the bodywork to a car wrecker. And that's how the story ended.

If you don't quite remember the purple, almost magenta-coloured Nissan, we have put the iconic scene from The Fast and The Furious below.
