Danish Simon is the world's best – wants to win the DM

Simon Manley can already call himself the world champion in car wrapping. Now the foil man from Funen also wants to win the Danish championship.

A Danish champion in car wrapping must be found. Simon Manley, who has already won the world championship in foil wrapping, is among the 16 participants competing for the title of Denmark's best foil man.

The competition will take place in Fredericia on March 14th and 15th, where World Wrap Masters Denmark will be held.

Participants must go through several challenges that test their skills in precision, speed and creativity.

Among other things, they have to foil a screen and a picture frame. In addition, there is a secret task where only your imagination sets the limits.

In the final on Saturday, the four best participants will wrap an entire side of a car. The winner of the Danish Championship qualifies for the World Championship in Berlin.

According to Michael Brochmann, industry manager at FESPA Denmark, which organizes the championship, wrapping a car is not just done in a jiffy.

– Wrapping a car requires both technique, creativity and a keen eye for detail. It's not just about getting the film to sit nicely – it's about understanding the properties of the material, working with temperatures and mastering the installation technique to perfection.

Among the participants is the defending Danish champion, Filip Sorensen. However, he will face competition from Simon Manley, who won the 2023 World Car Wrapping Championship.

The event's host is Ole Solskin Ravn from Aros Signs, and the judges are Rikke Christiansen from Signs and Print and Jesper Solager from Sunwrap.

The competition will be held at Audi in Frederica from 9 am to 5 pm on Friday, March 14 and from 10 am to 1 pm on Saturday, March 15. Admission is free for all interested parties, the organizer announces.
