This is the price of the Volkswagen ID.Golf in Denmark

The electric ID.Golf will replace the ID.3. It also happens in Denmark, and now we have an idea of the price.

There is virtually no registration tax on the vast majority of electric cars in Denmark. Therefore, we also have an idea of the price of the new Volkswagen ID.Golf, a car that will replace the ID.3.

The online magazine Ecomento believes they have come so far that they have both an estimate of the dimensions and the price.

If we are to take the car's physical appearance first, a lot right now points to the fact that you should see a Golf 4 for yourself. At least in terms of size. That car was on the market from 1997 to 2006, both as a hatchback, estate car and convertible.

Although the cabriolet was really just a Golf 3 with different headlights. But leave it at that. If we take the hatchback from that time as a starting point, it was a car of 4.18 meters in length, it was 1.4 meters high and 1.7 meters wide.

By comparison, the current Golf 8, which is available with both diesel and petrol engines, is almost 4.3 meters long and one and a half meters high. The next Golf in the series will therefore be a smaller car.

You cannot say that the price will be less. Unfortunately. According to Ecomento's information, the new ID.Golf will cost 33,000 euros without tax. This corresponds to DKK 246,000. This is the price for the basic version with a range of 400 kilometers.

For comparison, the most scratched Golf 8 in Germany costs 25,000 euros, while the cheapest Volkswagen ID.3 costs a good 33,500 euros. If you want to pay just a little more for an ID.Golf, it is expected that Volkswagen will also get a battery pack with a range of 600 kilometers on the program.

However, it is not a car that is just around the next street corner. Volkswagen announced earlier this year that a number of new electric car platforms have again been delayed. There is hardly anyone who expects the ID.Golf to be a reality for 2029. A Golf R model, however, will not come of it. Read more about it here .
