Tesla warns employees: "You end up like Volkswagen"

At Tesla's factory in Germany, the management used the production of car number 400,000 to warn the employees of their responsibility not to end up like Volkswagen.

Tesla's factory in Grünheide on the outskirts of Berlin has just rolled the 400,000th car off the assembly line.

The management took the opportunity to warn the employees about their responsibilities, so that the entire factory does not end up in a situation like the one Volkswagen is in right now.

In the middle of a speech that managing director André Thierig used to long for his employees, a significant warning was dropped.

This is written by Frankfurter Rundschau .

– Volkswagen loses a billion euros every year due to production losses. The problems in Grünheide and Wolfsburg are very similar.

– If 15-18 percent of the employees here are constantly on sick leave, and we have to hire more staff to compensate for this absence, it will be reflected in our car prices, said the director.

Tesla in Germany has been exposed to a lot of criticism this year alone. Some activists have even gone so far as to claim responsibility for an arson attack targeting the factory.

Most recently, it has come to light that Tesla visits sick employees at their private addresses to check whether the sick leave is now also completely by the book. Read more about it here .
