The just 15-year-old Dane Alba Hurup Larsen from Roskilde is the first Dane ever in the Formula 1-supported F1 Academy series.

15-year-old Alba Hurup Larsen from Roskilde will be the first Dane ever to participate in the Formula 1-managed talent series F1 Academy.

The series, which has been created to promote the development of young female racers, will have a Danish representative for the first time when Hurup Larsen makes his debut in the 2025 season. She will also represent the international fashion brand Tommy Hilfiger.

– I am both incredibly proud and excited! Becoming part of the F1 Academy and thus also part of the Formula 1 universe is something I would not have dared to dream of just a year ago.

– It is a fantastic opportunity for me and an important step towards my dream of becoming Denmark's first female Formula 1 choir, says the young racing choir about the expectations for the season, she says in a press release .

The F1 Academy was established in 2023 and is led by Susie Wolff, former racing and testing choir for Williams. The series is designed to give female racing talent a platform where they can develop towards a career at the highest level of motorsport. The series is supported by Formula 1's ten current teams, and the races are run as part of Formula 1 weekends.

In the coming season, Alba will drive for the team MP Motorsport, with whom she has already collaborated in the autumn during her Formula 4 debut. Here she secured the title of best rookie. Her car and choir uniform will wear Tommy Hilfiger's iconic colors, as the fashion house is an official partner of the series.

The calendar for the 2025 season includes seven rounds divided by lob in, among other places, Shanghai, Miami and Las Vegas. Fans can follow along live on F1 TV and YouTube, or watch the races on Viaplay.
