What is not allowed here? Over 1,300 motorists were given stalls

A messy X on an electronic road sign caused a lot of confusion on the A3 motorway near Frankfurt the other day. Over 1,300 motorists were given stalls.

Not all drivers are equal with the traffic laws. The other day, a messy "X" on an electronic road sign also caused great confusion on the A3 motorway near Frankfurt.

A total of 1,325 motorists were given stalls by the police in the space of just over an hour. The price is 90 euros for each driver and a penalty point in the corre card.

However, many motorists could have easily avoided the 90 euros, equivalent to 671 kroner, that the booth reads. This is explained by traffic lawyer Tom Louven.

– When signs are marked with red crosses in the display boards, it means that the road from here onwards is closed to all traffic. It is equivalent to root lights at a traffic light, he says according to the Bild newspaper.

However, the price may well be higher than the 90 euros. It depends entirely on whether the driver continues past the sign in the same lane.

– If you cannot change lanes – for example due to traffic jams – you must stop, Tom Louven explains.

If you, as a motorist, nevertheless ignore the signage and in this connection are to blame for an accident, damage to things or are a danger to others, the fine can increase to 240 euros, corresponding to 1,800 Danish kroner.

However, we don't have to go all the way to Germany to find drivers who have a hard time with the traffic laws. Back in 2022, Boosted could tell how East Jutland's Police, in particular, shovels money into the treasury.

All because motorists continue to violate the same traffic rule on the same stretch. Read more about it here .
