The Volvo ES90 is coming to Denmark. Initially with rear-wheel drive, but two versions with all-wheel drive will be part of the program.
As Boosted already revealed yesterday, the Volvo ES90 is on its way. And it's also coming to Denmark.
However, it will not be the top model that the Danish importer is initially targeting. In a press release, the importer writes that a rear-wheel drive is the first option.
– The Volvo ES90 is the first Volvo model to be powered by a dual NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Orin configuration.
– This makes the ES90 the most powerful car we have ever created in terms of computing power.
"It gives us the opportunity to further raise the bar for safety and overall performance through data, software and artificial intelligence," says Anders Bell, Chief Engineering and Technology Officer at Volvo Cars, in a press release .
The price of the Volvo ES90 in Denmark
The price list is not yet ready, but Volvo expects to have it in place during the summer, when the car brand's order book will also be opened.
The importer itself expects to have the first cars in Denmark during 2025. However, Danish customers will not be able to drive the cars until 2026.
Volvo's new electric car is an electric replacement for the petrol and diesel S90. And like its predecessor, the new car will have Volvo's familiar front with Thor's Hammer headlights.
Like the EX90 SUV, the car also gets a lidar sensor on the roof. The front section is lower and more streamlined than the EX90. This means the car has a drag coefficient – or Cd value – of 0.25.
The rear gets new two-part lights that frame the rear window, exactly what their function is can be seen in other than the pictures you find below.
