Several very rare Volkswagen models have been found in a Swiss mine. How they ended up there, no one really knows.
It can be documented that some of the cars have been parked there as recently as 2018. But why several very rare Volkswagen models are in a Swiss mine is not known.
At least not with one hundred percent certainty. However, there are indications that the mine is being used as storage space for the Vollswracks Bar & Museum in the town of Saint-Sulpice.
A place run by 170 volunteers who look after a good 150 choirs and 3,500 visitors every year. But not all of the museum's cars are on public display.
If it is indeed the museum people who use the mine. Regardless of what – and who owns the cars – there is everything from a Golf 2 Plus Ultra – which was only sold in Switzerland – to several copies of the VW Type 1 aka the Bubble in the mine.

But it is clear that they are not the only ones who have visited the place recently. Several of the cars are equipped with stickers that tell you that they were on the roads until very recently.
The rare Golf 2, for example, was last seen in 2018. However, some cars have probably been in the mine for a very long time. Among other things, a sticker from 1994 is mounted in the rear window of a Bubble.
