These car brands do not sell any cars in Denmark

Do you remember Smart? If the answer is no, you are in line with all other Danish car buyers. At least when it comes to purchasing brand new cars.

In the course of the first four months of 2024, not a single Dane has bought a factory-new Smart. Incidentally, the German-Chinese brand sold just one car here in the same period last year.

This is shown by figures from De Danske Bilimportorer – which today calls itself Mobility.

Having said that, there are several brands that the Danes also ignore. However, this is not necessarily because they are unknown or come from China.

Due to the registration tax of 150 percent, Ferrari is not among the car brands that just spit cars out on the Danish roads. Rather the contrary.

The factory from Maranello has had a Dane drive a brand new car in Denmark. So until 2024. Lamborghini is not doing much better. It has become one car.

But that is actually five cars less than the same period last year. But now it's car brands that don't sell that this article is really about.

Because what do brands like Jiayuan, Eagel, Micro and Xingyun have in common with Ferrari? Not much other than the sales figures in Denmark. A big one, around 0.

On the other hand, we don't have to go back more than a year either, because Alfa Romeo, Lotus and Fisker didn't sell any cars in Denmark either.

The latter – i.e. Fisker – has just gone bankrupt. And that leaves between 300 and 350 Danish Fisker Ocean owners in serious pain. The possibilities for help in the bankruptcy, which is now a reality, are extremely limited. Read more about it here .
