The Toyota GR Supra A90 Final Edition is a disappointment

The A90 Final Edition is the last version of the Toyota Supra Mk. V a disappointment for many who had almost given up after a loan from BMW's M division.

There is a long way between the positive things that can be said about the last Toyota Supra in this round. The A90 Final Edition is far from the monster with the help of BMW's M division that many had hoped for.

Because even though the Toyota is a BMW Z4 with a fixed roof, it is a long way from the long-rumoured Supra with in-line six from BMW M.

Instead, the A90 Final Edition has to make do with the 'ordinary' 3-liter inline six from BMW, which has gained 95 more horsepower compared to the standard model. What was rumored was a direct 'cloning' of the technology from the BMW M4 CSL. A car that has a whopping 540 horsepower and 650 Nm.

The last Toyota Supra disappoints with 570 Nm. In fairness, it must be said that the Japanese have managed to shave 0.5 seconds off the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h, so that it is now over in 3.9 seconds. Just as the limiter has been moved to 270 km/h.

Conversely, the chance of you ever seeing a Toyota Supra A90 Final Edition is very limited. The Japanese build only 300 cars to be distributed worldwide.

The Danish importer says in a press release that sales will also open in Denmark. However, it is highly doubtful that so much as one copy will make it here.

The car, which costs more than DKK 1 million in standard trim after the tax has been paid, Toyota has only sold one in Denmark between January 1 and October 31 this year. The importer has not priced the last version of the car either.

Whether it will be a new Supra is still too difficult to say. Although rumors of a sixth generation have been swirling for some time. Toyota, on the other hand, would like to confirm that there will be a new Celica. A car the Japanese last had in the model program in 2006.
