The rare Saab is approved for street use with 700 horsepower

As a brand, Saab is long gone and dead. But there are people who keep the cars alive and then some. One such is this 9-3 Aero.

You'd have to have been born yesterday not to be able to figure out that this is far from any ordinary 9-3 Aero, as it looked like in the early 00s.

Nevertheless, this monster of a Swede (with American GM roots, ed.) is both seen and approved in all directions and corners. And that even in an EU country like Sweden.

This means the police can't come after you. Not even if the car today produces anything more than the 210 horsepower the factory thought was plenty.

Mostly because there are no longer any two-litre turbo petrols between the front wheels. It came out during a rebuild in 2011. Here the car got a 3.2-liter General Motors-developed V6 engine.

And no, that engine is obviously neither original nor standard. But, as I said, it is all approved with all imaginable papers. It's just a matter of turning the knob and singing.

If you can manage to have exactly 701 horsepower through a six-speed manual gearbox available. Conversely, you can look forward to a car that does not have a map around the world.

Or – the Saab has actually been around the world. If you do that sort of thing in kilometers. Almost twice actually. The trip around the globe is just over 40,000 kilometers.

This sun-grey super Swede has a short 72,320 kilometers, and these are kilometers that the dealer would like to guarantee. Conversely, the car has not been in the hands of crazy many people. The conversion was carried out by the car's only second owner. Maybe you should be the third?

Much apropos of Saab, the brand is not quite as dead as one might think. In fact, the demand for spare parts is now so great that production can be restarted. Even in a very special place in Sweden. Read more about it here .
