The price skydiver – petrol costs DKK 10 per litre

In Denmark, the price of petrol has not been lower since New Year. But in Sweden it is even lower. The Swedes are now talking about record cheap petrol.

On Monday morning, most major energy companies lowered the price of petrol in Sweden. The liter price is now approaching 10 Danish kroner.

And the same applies to diesel. In Swedish currency, the price has fallen on average by 20 øre per litres. Converted to Danish kroner, this corresponds to a liter price of DKK 10.16 for E10 octane 95.

This is shown by a report from benzinpriser.nu, which monitors fuel prices in Sweden. Diesel costs about the same.

– There is too much fuel on the market now, so the big petrol companies are trying to get rid of their stocks. This also lowers prices, says Jan Erik Mellström, who leases a gas station in Karlskrona, to Carup .

By comparison, petrol in Denmark cost just over DKK 13.09 on Monday morning. It was the same price that Boosted could report on already last Friday.

This is the annual record when it comes to fuel here at home. The low prices are, however, a tight deadline. Because even though fuel taxes were raised on 1 January 2024, the government is on its way with exactly the same measure again.

Thus, the tax on diesel will rise again on 1 January 2025. And it is not the only tax that will rise. In both 2025 and 2026, motorists will have to pay much more to own their cars at all. Even for vintage cars, the half-yearly weight tax rises sharply. Read more about it here .

Something as common and legally required as the periodic inspection can also become more expensive. From 1 January 2025, the rules will be tightened for this kind of vision in Denmark. Read more about it here .
