The price of petrol is the highest for six months

Danish motorists must once again seriously look into their pockets at the gas stations. The price of petrol has not been higher for half a year.

We are not where we were in the summer of 2022, namely with record high liter prices for both petrol and diesel. On 6 June 2022, the liter price passed DKK 20.

We are not there at all. But it still hurts the economy to refuel the car these days, because the price per liter has not been higher for the past six months.

This is written by TV2 Fyn .

On Funen, the liter price in most places right now is around DKK 14.39 when it comes to petrol. The most expensive level since October 2, 2022.

Since the new year alone, the list price of petrol has increased by 80 ore a litre. This is due, among other things, to a number of new taxes that the government has placed on fuel.

And there are more taxes. Back in February, Boosted could tell that the government estimated that new EU rules alone would make petrol up to DKK 1.09 more expensive very soon. Read more about it here .

Contrary to the Danish government, the Swedish country's car lists come into fashion. Specifically with cheaper petrol and diesel.

Already last year, Sweden's government cut some of the taxes on both petrol and diesel. The tax fell by just over one Danish krone. And the Swedes are not holding back.

In 2025, the tax on fuel will be lowered by a further 75 Swedish kroner. Thus, petrol and diesel prices in Sweden will be at the EU's absolute minimum level.

Energy and business minister Ebba Busch from the Christian Democrats said last year in September that it was about getting motorists into fashion. In addition, the government had an electoral ceiling to live up to.

– We know that many families are having a hard time at the moment. Inflation hits hard and widely across the country, the minister told SVT in September 2023.
