People with a dash cam in their car can send the footage anonymously to British police. The hope is that the footage will reveal and remove the worst drivers from the roads.
British motorists should not feel too safe on the roads. At least not those who rudely bark out on the wrong side of the traffic laws in the country.
British police have set up a tip line where motorists can anonymously report fellow road users for the rotten roundabout.
In fact, according to This Is Money.co.uk, The National Dash Cam Safety Portal has been open and accessible to the public since 2018. More and more people are also taking advantage of the opportunity to stab others.
In total, 135,000 so-called dashcam recordings have been shared with British police in this way since law enforcement got the opportunity. In seven out of ten cases, recordings from dashcams lead to stalls for various traffic offences.

This year alone, however, the authorities expect the use of the stick line to grow significantly. In fact, up to 24 percent before the end of the year.
The portal is not the work of the police. Instead, it was developed by a private company, whose database the police can buy access to. Almost all political circles in England have done so, it says.
In the district Westmidlands Police, the law enforcement agency says that in one year they have been sent more than 11,000 recordings from motorists' dash cameras.
Here at home, the police do not have similar tip lines. But citizens who feel unsafe because of the speed at which the cars are driving in their immediate area can actually order a police officer with a laser or a photo van. And according to the National Police, that arrangement is a huge success.
Among other things, several thousand citizens have already taken advantage of the opportunity to have a photo van visit in this way. Read more about the scheme here .
