The police seize a fake police car on the way to the racetrack

It's generally stupid to pretend to be something you're not. A Honda S2000 owner recently learned that the hard way.

Somehow the Honda in this article has been modified to look like the uniformed police cars that patrol Japan.

That is, even if the car is actually driving around on English roads. Or that is to say – it no longer works. Because English police have seized the Honda.

The car was on its way to the famous drag racing track Santa Pod Raceway when it was waved to the side of a real patrol. And from here the Honda did not go any further.

This is what Northants Roads Policing Team writes in a post on the social media "X" – the former Twitter.

A closer examination of the papers on the car revealed that the owner drove it around without the statutory liability insurance. And in England the police have no choice but to impound the car in that case.

English police thus write the Honda into a crazy statistic. Every year, the country's police impound more than 214,000 cars a year.

However, not all cars are intact when the police come after some. Figures from 26 out of England's 45 police districts reveal that in 2023 alone, 49,287 cars were impounded because they had been involved in a road accident. Read more about it here .

Turning our noses back home for a brief note, it wasn't long ago that a Dacia owner felt the nasty consequence of impersonating law enforcement.

The man's Dacia, which is a mess, the police now suspect him of having used to annoy innocent motorists in several places in Denmark. Read more about it here .
