After a major check, the police can find that there are errors on every third bus, and that in several cases there is no control over the documentation at all.
On Friday afternoon, Tungvognscenter East carried out a bus check in Roskilde, where many buses arrived because of a private event at Dyrskuepladsen.
The check took place on Poppelgårds Allé and Darupvej, where a brake test stand was set up. This is what the Central and West Zealand Police write in a press release .
A total of 30 buses were stopped during the check, including six Swedish buses, all short of so-called bus sabotage.
Bus sabotage means that the buses transport passengers internally in Denmark, which requires special documents, such as a completed control sheet and posting declaration. Although the Swedish buses legally short bus stoppages, they lacked the necessary documentation, which will now result in stalls for the bus company.

During the inspection, it was found that ten buses had faults or deficiencies that led to being summoned for inspection, while three choir coaches had their number plates confiscated.
Among these were three party buses, all of which had faults. One of the buses had an emergency exit that could not be opened, was missing a emergency stop hammer and had a faulty light.
Another bus braked crookedly and had its number plates revoked on the spot. The third bus, which had just dropped off passengers, had serious safety issues, including a tire with visible damage and a broken window near the dance floor. This bus was ordered to change the tire immediately.
In addition, a bus driver was caught lacking a driver's training certificate. While a foreign driver had failed to use his driver's license in the tachograph during a traffic jam in Sweden. Something that is necessary to record chorus and rest times.
– It was a busy inspection, where we unfortunately had to write a number of cases. There is room for improvement, and we will continue our bus checks, stated Police Commissioner Henrik Haensel, head of Heavy Vehicle Center East, after the end of the check.
Other violations included fire extinguishers that had not been checked within the required year, missing bus hammers and minor faults on the buses. Tungvognscenter East is responsible for checking heavy vehicles throughout Zealand and Bornholm.
