Volvo and Polestar's sister brand Zeekr is now dropping all plans to sell cars in Denmark, media write.
The Danish launch manager Christian Lystoft should have paved the way for Zeekr in Denmark. But his bosses move him to the brand's headquarters in the Netherlands.
That's what Motor magazine writes.
Thus, there will be nothing of the large-scale launch in Denmark, which Zeekr otherwise planned for during last year's eCarExpo in the Bella Center at Amager in Copenhagen.
When Zeekr opened its business in Sweden's capital Stockholm, it left that it was expected to be in place in most European countries by 2026 at the latest, including Denmark as well.

However, according to Motor magazine's information, the brand is now rushing through a line. For the same reason, Zeekr will not appear at the next eCarExpo in Copenhagen, which will take place in October.
Motor magazine states that it has not been possible to get a comment from Christian Lystoft. But it is supposed to be the high punitive tariff rates that Zeekr's parent group Geely is hit by in the EU, which causes the car brand to completely withdraw from the Danish market.
