The bankrupt car brand Fisker Inc. now bundles its roadside assistance service throughout Europe. It happens with immediate effect.
Fisker owners are already in a poor position if the car brand goes bankrupt. And on Thursday, May 4, the owners got another piece of bad news from that side.
Fisker Inc. has chosen, with immediate effect, to shut down the roadside assistance that is otherwise included with the brand's cars.
This is stated by Fisker Inc. in an email sent to the owners.
Road assistance, which Fisker owners no longer have to count on, is offered by Fisker for 6 years or the first 100,000 kilometers from the date the individual car was purchased. That is, until they didn't do it anymore.
Right up until May 4, roadside assistance was available 24 hours a day all year round. But now Fisker advises the car brand's customers to look for alternatives, for example with their own insurance company.

What exactly is the reason for the shutdown of roadside assistance is unclear, but Fisker himself gives a hint by referring to the brand's uncertain situation at the moment.
Recently it emerged that Fisker Inc. has announced layoffs of all employees within 60 days. Like the brand – even for that date – might want to file for bankruptcy protection. Read more about it here.
