It will never happen – as in never ever – that you will find an automatic gearbox in a Gunther Werks converted Porsche.
You can get a Turbo conversion. You can actually also get a Speedster or a 'fairly ordinary' coupe.
But one thing Gunther Werks will never, ever rebuild. And it's a Porsche with an automatic transmission. It would have to be, if the American specialist has to rip out the automatic transmission.
Otherwise, you simply won't get your hands on a Gunther Werks Porsche. This is what the small car brand's marketing manager in Miami, Javier Roque, tells CarBuzz.
– Gunther Werks never wants a car with an automatic gearbox, was the very short, but very straightforward answer when the media asked.

Instead, there is only one gearbox option in all Gunther Werks-Porschers. Namely a six-speed manual case from Getrag.
And now we all say. Only 75 of the Turbo pictured in this article will be built. As in ever.
In return, they all deliver a guaranteed performance of 750 horsepower from a specially developed 4-liter boxer engine with six cylinders. Less just can't do it.
Now we wrote well enough that the American Porsche maker will not build cars with automatic transmission. And it fits. But beyond that, the small car manufacturer promises that it is only the imagination (and the economy, ed.) that sets the limits.
– After all, we want to have happy and good customers who want to stay in and not least use their cars for a long time, says Javier Roque.
However, Gunther Werks is not the only Porsche specialist. There are many of them. Here in Denmark, there is a 911 made to special order. It is even called 'Denmark'. Read more about the car here .
