Salt spreader driver calls motorists 'idiots'

This week it has been mirror-smooth on the roads around the country. It's just that not all drivers obey the conditions.

This week has been characterized by slippery roads, also on Funen, which causes a lorry driver, who is chocking with road salt, to sharply criticize motorists.

On Thursday morning, the police chose to close a section of the Svendborg motorway due to black ice. In this way, Thomas Skjoth could spread salt on the roadways from his truck to remedy a potentially very dangerous situation.

But according to him, many of the drivers in the line behind him did not have the patience or respect for the road conditions that they should have.

– I was doing 60 kilometers an hour and only made it a few kilometers before the cars started overtaking. It was just as smooth further on as in the accident at Ringe, and then people are also out about it themselves, he tells the newspaper.

Thomas Skjoth believes he has seen between 10 and 15 motorists drive the wrong way because they did not respect the salting.

However, he was not the only one who criticized the motorists on Thursday. The police also expressed concern about the behavior of motorists on the road. Read more about it here .
