Randers Cowboys write song for famous car party

Again this year, the Danish car festival DHB – Denmark's Fastest Car – has got its own soundtrack. In 2024, Randers Cowboys are behind it.

The annual car festival, Denmark's Fastest Car (DHB), held at Padborg Park this weekend, offers much more than just the sound of screeching tires and droning engines. Music also plays a significant role in the event.

Randers Cowboys, consisting of Rolf and Stumpen, have taken the initiative to create an official DHB track.

– The audience for DHB matches quite well the audience that comes when we perform, and then Stumpen suddenly came up with an idea.

– How about making an official DHB track? Yes, why not, we thought, and so we got down to business," says Rolf.

The song was published on May 10, and on Thursday evening Randers Cowboys will perform it for the first time on the big stage at DHB 2024.

The organizer writes this in a press release .

Rolf explains that guests can expect an energetic party.

– The song was made specifically for DHB. We are the sound within the genre, and we try to tell the story based on the fact that it is an event that you go to every year. –

– The song is a story based on our mindset, where it's about drinking, ladies and high speed, he says.

On stage, Rolf and Stumpen appear in masks, and their personal choice of car is also part of their image. They have chosen a Fiat Multipla and an Opel Combo as their choir vehicles, which are used to transport their equipment at weekends.

– I like speed and the smell of burnt rubber. Our cars primarily reach top speed when going downhill.

– In addition, they rarely smell of burnt rubber, but more of a burnt clutch when the wives and girlfriends transport themselves around in our enthusiastic cars," says Rolf, one half of the band.
