Polestar forced to stop delivery – cars don't work

Polestar is now forced to stop the delivery of the new Polestar 3. The cars' software does not work, and therefore they must not be delivered, writes Swedish media.

The new Polestar 3 has only just been presented to the public, because the brand has run into problems.

The car shares software with the error-filled Volvo EX90. And now it extends to customers who have bought both the one and the other car, all over the world.

This is written by Swedish Carup .

Polestar 3 has already been delayed. But now you have to completely stop deliveries to customers, because the software in the cars is simply not ready. Volvo suffers the same with the EX90. And that, even though the car's software has been under development for a full 5 years.

People who test drive the car report a large and annoying number of errors in the software. Something that has also plagued several test cars of the new Polestar 4, whose most unique feature is the missing rear window.

Media such as Top Gear can report that during the official test drives, which Polestar itself invited, cars with strange faults were met. Errors that caused the cars to run poorly.

– We have made the decision to temporarily pause deliveries of Polestar 3 until mid-September in order to fine-tune the final customer software and to give our customers an even better experience, confirms Polestar's Swedish PR man John Eriksson in an email to Carup.

The Polestar 3 is otherwise one of the models that will save the struggling car manufacturer. Right now, Polestar owes so much money that they cannot repay a huge loan to Volvo within the agreed time. Read more about it here.

The hope is, however, that Polestar 3, as because it i.a. is built in the USA, escapes the EU's punitive tariffs, can rectify the situation. However, Polestar 2 and 4 are not as lucky with the brand. Those cars are built exclusively in China.
