Peugeot E-3008 wins prestigious design award

The French electric car Peugeot E-3008 has just scored a prestigious first place for its design.

PEUGEOT has once again received the Red Dot Award for an outstanding design achievement: the new PEUGEOT E-3008 impressed the international expert jury of 39 judges in the "Product Design" category with its dynamic fastback silhouette, new modern front and comprehensive features. The predecessor of the PEUGEOT 3008 also received the Red Dot Award in 2017. This was the ninth time that PEUGEOT has received this coveted design award.

Matthias Hossann, Design Director at PEUGEOT says: "I am delighted that the new design of the PEUGEOT E-3008 has been recognized with the Red Dot Design Award. The PEUGEOT E-3008 represents all our brand values and not least emphasizes the brand's ingenuity. As we had to reinvent the PEUGEOT 3008, the aim was to achieve both a modern look and at the same time combine a dynamic design with optimal efficiency using a fastback silhouette. This award proves that our team's creativity has borne fruit."

A modern and efficient fastback SUV design
The PEUGEOT E-3008 stands out with its fastback SUV design: the traditional hatchback line has been modernized with a "floating" spoiler which emphasizes the silhouette of the body and optimizes aerodynamics. The generous rear end has a dynamic design, which is enhanced by the characteristic light signature with three law claws.

The cat-like lines of the PEUGEOT E-3008 reflect the car's balanced dimensions – it is one of the most compact all-electric SUVs in the C-segment, while still providing plenty of space for passengers and luggage.

The new PEUGEOT E-3008 is the first model from the brand to be equipped with the new PEUGEOT Panorama i-Cockpit®. The floating 21-inch HD curved panoramic screen creates an exciting and sophisticated visual effect in the cabin, while integrating the digital instrument panel and the large central touchscreen.

The LED ambient lighting can be customized with eight different colors that illuminate an elegant decorative strip of real aluminum that stretches across the instrument panel and over the doors.

About the Red Dot Award
For over 60 years, the Red Dot Award has rewarded innovative design in the categories "Product Design", "Communication Design" and "Design Concept". Once a year, the submitted products, communication projects, design concepts and prototypes are assessed by an international jury consisting of recognized experts from various specialist areas.

In 2024, products from 60 countries were evaluated in 51 competition categories. The jury members awarded the "Red Dot" or "Red Dot: Best of the Best" award based on four qualities of good design as well as socio-cultural background, professional focus and design expertise. The products were not judged in competition with each other, but based on their individual qualities.
