It has nothing to do with a turbo, the new Taycan Turbo S. But horsepower is now enough.
It's still a cut from the Tesla Model S Plaid, which has 1,020 horsepower. But Porsche is almost there with the facelifted Taycan Turbo S.
953 horsepower has been achieved. This means that the German cuts 0.3 seconds off the sprint from 0-100 km/h, which is now over in 2.3 seconds.
As in the pre-facelifted version, Porsche sticks to the battery's 800-volt technology. This results in a battery that can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in 18 minutes. Mind you – it is still much faster to refuel a petrol or diesel car.

Having said that, there is a long way between both the diesel and petrol cars that have close to 1,000 horsepower from the factory. Preserved, they exist.
But then we have to get into something like the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E-Performance and the even wilder Ferrari SF90.
The Danish Porsche importer has not yet announced the price of the facelifted Taycan. But even the current model is no cheap pleasure.
The least potent model, simply called Taycan, is available from DKK 840,000. It was a model even more expensive than what the former cargo team player Nicklas Bendtner had to hand over to the state treasury last year. Read more about it here .
