New Bugatti gets a speedometer that goes to 550 km/h

Bugatti continues with 16 cylinders but loses its four turbos. And that changes the top speed – i.e. to the right side.

Ferdinand Piëch's heart child, the W16 engine, goes to the grave, 5 years after he did it himself. But Bugatti, which Piëch revived through Volkswagen, already has a replacement ready.

Or that is to say, almost. Because Bugatti will not say much more than that you change from W- to V-shape. And that the engine will be enormously long. Read more about it here.

Now it has temporarily emerged that the speedometer in the new Bugatti, which has not yet been officially named, will have a speedometer that goes all the way to 550 km/h.

In comparison, there is nothing more to catch up with in a Bugatti Chiron when the speedometer knocks on 500 km/h.

It is Bugatti that has unveiled the new speedometer. Or that is to say, the brand has sent around a gift box like the American YouTuber Marques Brownlee.

The same Marques Brownlee who, by the way, is far from impressed by Fisker Ocean. In fact, he calls the car the worst he's ever owned. Read more about it here.

But back to the speedometer. Because it is depicted on the gift box, which you don't have to look at for many moments to find the number '550'.

The production rumor mill, which has yet to be confirmed, believes it knows that Bugatti's new engine does not just have 16 cylinders. It has been developed in collaboration with Cosworth, has a displacement of 8.3 liters and will produce 1,800 horsepower. We will get answers to all of this in June.
