Mazda 6e – see all the pictures of the electric novelty

The electric Mazda 6e will arrive in August with up to 552 km of range and prices from DKK 299,990. See pictures and all specifications here

Mazda has published the first images and all technical details of their new electric model, the Mazda 6e. The car will be officially introduced in Denmark in August and will land with a distinctive design, high comfort and prices starting at DKK 299,990.

The Mazda 6e is a full-size, all-electric 5-door coupe that replaces the previous Mazda6. The new model combines Japanese design with modern technology and practical everyday usability – and now all the images have been released.

Two battery sizes and up to 552 km range

The Mazda 6e is offered with two different battery packs, covering both city driving and longer distances. The cheapest version has a 68.8 kWh battery and a range of up to 479 km. It can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in just 24 minutes with a charging power of 165 kW.

Alternatively, the Mazda 6e is available with an 80 kWh battery and a range of 552 km. That model charges a little slower – at 90 kW – but in return gives a longer range. Both versions drive the rear wheels and have a torque of 320 Nm, while the performance is 258 hp and 245 hp respectively.

Coupé look and hidden details

Mazda has given the car a dynamic coupé design with a low roofline, fully integrated door handles and distinctive light signatures both front and rear. The tailgate opens with the rear window, and an electric spoiler at the rear completes the sporty look.

The official photos show the car in several paint finishes, of which white metallic paint is free of charge. Other colors cost between DKK 10,000 and DKK 12,000 extra.

Two trim levels and lots of technology

The Mazda 6e is available in two trim levels: Takumi and Takumi Plus. The former comes with black or beige leatherette and a panoramic roof. Takumi Plus adds Nappa leather, electric sunshades and suede-like details to the cabin.

The cabin is bright and spacious with good legroom in both rows. The center console “floats” visually and, together with the panoramic glass roof, contributes to an open feeling.

The infotainment system is controlled via a 14.6" touchscreen, and the driver also gets a 10.2" digital instrument panel and a large Head-up display. The audio system comes from Sony and has 14 speakers.

High safety and digital cockpit

The Mazda 6e is equipped with no fewer than 9 airbags and a wide range of active safety systems, including lane departure warning, emergency braking, adaptive cruise control and a 360-degree camera.

The first Danish copies are expected in August, and the car can already be seen in full resolution images. Prices start at DKK 299,990 and increase depending on battery and equipment.
