Kevin Magnussen in a new announcement: "It's frustrating"

Kevin Magnussen has not stood on a Formula 1 podium since his debut in Melbourne 10 years ago. And that annoys the Dane.

It is time to reflect.

At least for Kevin Magnussen. And that gets the Dane, who these days can look back on the 10th anniversary of his Formula 1 debut.

It also took place in Melbourne at Albert Park. Back then as a very young hope for McLaren in the first year of the hybrid era of Formula 1 cars.

But reflecting on exactly that weekend in Melbourne 10 years ago, Magnussen doesn't do much now.

It is because it is too frustrating, conceded the Formula 1 field's only Dane in a press fashion ahead of the weekend's races.

– I don't really do that. It's been so long, it feels like a lifetime ago.

– A lot has happened since then. It's a cool thing. I am proud to have made the podium in my first lob.

But at the same time it is very frustrating to have cards for 10 years and not get back on the podium again, says Magnussen.

On Sunday this weekend, K-Mag theoretically has the chance to stand on the podium again in Formula 1. But it looks bleak. After Friday's second practice on the track in Melbourne, the Dane only qualified as number 19 out of a total of 20 cars.
